The five siblings starring in the romance reality show My Sibling’s Romance recently participated in a photo shoot with the magazine Elle for its May issue. This photoshoot carried a special meaning as it reflected on the unique relationship called ‘siblings.’ Although it may seem somewhat cheesy to associate the word ‘love’ with ‘K-siblings,’ each sibling shows robust affection towards each other in their own way, making them a solid team. Born and raised together, the siblings from My Sibling’s Romance created a delightful and warm atmosphere during the shoot, each exuding their unique vibe.
During the shoot, an interview was conducted as well. Cho-a and Chul-hyun, siblings who maintained a loving and affectionate atmosphere throughout, shared their thoughts. Cho-a mentioned, “My brother is someone who gives me courage. He tends to see the forest, and I see the trees. Whenever there’s a decision to be made, he always opens new horizons for me. We synergize because our perspectives differ.” Chul-hyun expressed, “At some point, I realized that my sister truly understands me and is the closest person to me. Now, we really mesh well as ‘players.’ Sometimes I’m the older brother, and I’m fortunate that she’s my sister.”
Yong-woo and Ju-yeon, who clearly resemble each other despite a nine-year age gap, also shared their insights. Ju-yeon said, “Whenever I have worries, I always run to my brother. He refreshes the atmosphere as if it’s nothing serious. He is like a shelter to me.” Jokingly, Yong-woo added, “I joined the show because I wanted to officially observe and accompany my sister when she dates. My sister is an independent person, a miniature version of myself. Rather than directing her life, I want to be a friend who solves problems when asked and provides a place to rest when she’s tired.”
Always generous with praise, Yoon-ha and Jung-sub, known as the ‘Unicorn Siblings,’ shared their thoughts. Yoon-ha said, “Not many siblings spare compliments like ‘cool’ or ‘pretty’ as we do, which is why we got our nickname. I’m always cheered up and proud that someone as wonderful as Jung-sub is my brother.” Jung-sub remarked, “It’s precious to have a sister I can ask for advice from, whether it’s about work or romantic troubles. Although we work in different fields, I always try to learn from her experiences.”
The playful siblings, Jae-hyung and Se-seung, also shared their bond. Jae-hyung said, “I was worried about my younger sibling on the first day of filming because it was very cold, and she isn’t good with the cold or very strong physically. But ironically, I was the one who got sick and fell, while she enjoyed herself. I think we are on the same team. Since we have the same major and similar occupations, we will continue to have fun together while looking at the same places.” Se-seung added, “My brother and I are like ‘crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.’ We often bicker and annoy each other, but deep down, we always wish the best for each other.”
Lastly, the ‘Real Siblings’ Yoon-jae and Ji-won described their relationship. Yoon-jae said, “We are ‘real siblings.’ As we are close in age, we bicker often, but after a fight, I automatically understand why my sister did what she did, and things naturally smooth over. I always have faith that she will do well without needing to say much.” Ji-won expressed, “My brother is the most comfortable drinking buddy. I can be my most honest self with him. I hope we continue to share drinks and stay the same way forever.”
