Heart Signal 6 introduced many innovations. For example, the house now has a “CP” setup—participants move into two different houses. The show also added the “Heart-throbbing ABM” machine and a “light-up” (confession) device to shorten the distance between participants and make romance more direct and sincere. The “Signal version of ABM” is a kind of testing mechanism: after taking the test, each guest receives a small-animal label, which more intuitively showcases their personality so they can better understand themselves and each other. As for the “light-up” device, it gives participants more autonomy and is also a way to express personality—when someone wants to confess, they can do so, which is closer to real social dynamics. The purpose of the “Heart-throbbing ABM” is to let participants learn about others in advance through this third-party information. During early research, the production team found that young people today are very willing to learn what kind of person “I” am and what my dating state is like. The “Heart-throbbing ABM” narrows the social distance among the housemates and also offers young people a way to get closer to one another.
