Heart Signal 8 focuses on the multi-dimensional city cluster of Jiangsu–Zhejiang–Shanghai, unveiling cityscapes with a distinctly Jiangnan (south-of-the-Yangtze) charm. The show invites single non-celebrity men and women from very different backgrounds to move into the “Signal Apartment” and begin a month-long journey of exploring attraction. Through young people co-living—recreating the kinds of romance and friendship stories that can happen in real social life—it presents the participants’ views on love, marriage, and values. A panel of celebrity guests forms the “Heart-throbbing Cupids,” who jointly observe and deduce the participants’ ambiguous relationships and how they develop, continuously offering diverse perspectives.
