Wavve’s hit dating reality show “My Sibling’s Romance” is officially coming back with a second season. The streaming platform announced on March 19 that Season 2 has been confirmed for production and is scheduled to premiere as a Wavve original exclusive in the second half of 2026.
Originally released in March 2024, “My Sibling’s Romance” drew attention for its unique premise, following siblings as they gather together and help each other search for love. By combining romance with family dynamics, the show distinguished itself from other dating reality programs and earned strong viewer response for both its fresh format and emotional relatability.
According to Wavve, the first season recorded the highest total watch time among the platform’s original variety programs in the first half of the year. It also reportedly remained No. 1 in attracting new paid weekend subscribers throughout its approximately four-month run. The show was especially successful among female viewers in their 20s, with that user group on Wavve nearly doubling in March 2024 compared to the previous month.
The series also performed strongly in buzz rankings. During its broadcast, “My Sibling’s Romance” topped the integrated TV-OTT non-drama buzz rankings four times. Its finale additionally set a new personal best buzz score, while multiple cast members ranked in the Top 20 for non-drama cast buzz during the show’s final week.
Season 2 will be jointly directed by Lee Jin Joo (creator of Transit Love/EXchange - PD of S1/S2), who served as the main PD of Season 1, and Shin Hye Won, who also participated in directing the first season. Wavve shared that the upcoming season will continue the signature emotional connection and close-knit relationship dynamics that viewers loved, while introducing a new cast and fresh, unpredictable stories.

Along with the renewal news, “My Sibling’s Romance 2” has also begun recruiting sibling participants through Wavve’s official Instagram account. Single siblings who are hoping to find true love can apply directly, and recommendations for potential participants are also being accepted through the application link and QR code provided by the platform.
