Channel A’s “Heart Signal 5” has shared a closer look at its highly anticipated first episode.
Ahead of its premiere, the dating reality show released new preview details for Episode 1, which will follow six residents as they move into the “Signal House” and meet each other for the first time. The new season is set to premiere on April 14 at 10 p.m. KST, with Yoon Jong Shin, Lee Sang Min, Kim Eana, Roy Kim, and Billlie’s Tsuki appearing as the celebrity panelists who observe the housemates and try to predict the final couples.
This season will also introduce a new rule: one-on-one conversations. According to the preview, the female residents will each choose the male residents they want to talk to, then rotate through 10-minute conversations to get to know one another better. The added format is expected to shake up the house dynamic from the very beginning.
The newly released stills and reports also hint at immediate emotional tension. One female resident reportedly admits in her interview that her conversation partner is actually the one most aligned with her ideal type, which makes her hesitant to express her feelings openly. Another resident, meanwhile, seems to enjoy a lively conversation but grows wary, wondering if her counterpart may be “too smooth.” Panelist Kim Eana reacts to the unfolding chemistry with amused excitement, hinting at a messy and fast-moving love line from the very first episode.
The preview additionally drew attention for Lee Sang Min’s reaction to one of the female residents. After watching the housemates arrive at the Signal House in Itaewon, he reportedly remarks that she may be the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, prompting laughter and surprise from the rest of the panel.
Long known for its buzzworthy mix of romance and deduction, “Heart Signal” returns for its fifth season with a new generation of cast members and what has been described as a bolder, more candid take on modern dating.
