Back to Hell Island: Single’s Inferno Heats Up for Season 5

Netflix is turning up the heat to kick off 2026. Single’s Inferno returns for Season 5 on January 20, 2026, and a newly released teaser promises another all-out battle of flirting, jealousy, and hard-to-ignore chemistry.

Reaching a fifth season is a major milestone. Multiple Korean news outlets describe Single’s Inferno as the first Korean Netflix reality or variety series to hit Season 5, reinforcing how firmly the show has planted itself as a global dating reality staple.

The premise stays brutally simple. A group of attractive singles is stranded on “Inferno,” a remote island where comfort is limited and romance is the only ticket out. To reach “Paradise,” the luxury escape, they have to pair up as a couple.

Netflix and Korean media have also pointed to the show’s international track record. Reports highlight Season 1’s breakthrough into Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English), Season 2’s four-week run, Season 3’s five-week streak plus Top 10 placements in 31 countries, and Season 4’s strongest first-week viewing performance yet.

Season 5 looks ready to lean even harder into the tension. The teaser reportedly swings from sweet, playful lines to blunt, unfiltered comments that hint at messier triangles and sharper confrontations. One previewed line even jokes about “only getting drunk four times a year,” before the mood snaps into suspicion and rivalry.

Producer Kim Jae-won also shared heartfelt gratitude, crediting both past participants and longtime fans for carrying the series to this point, while teasing a season built around classic dating-show “butterflies,” bigger personalities, and more varied romantic arcs than ever.
