UPDATE: On December 25, Christmas Day, TVING officially announced that the show will end as 21-episode series contrary to the previous reports of it being 22-episodes series.

TVING’s hit dating reality show “Transit Love 4 (EXchange 4)” is expected to finish its run with 22 episodes, following a reported extension of its original plan.

According to a report from Korean outlet Xportsnews, the series was initially produced as a 20-episode season, similar to Transit Love 2 (2022) and Transit Love 3 (2023), which both wrapped at 20 episodes. However, the show’s intense buzz and strong performance have reportedly led to two additional episodes being added.

A representative for Transit Love 4 commented that the team is reviewing the extra scheduling and will share details once everything is finalized. They also explained that the varying number of episodes released each week is part of a strategy to adjust the release rhythm, keep viewers deeply immersed in the main storyline, and deliver the best possible viewing experience. Because of this flexible release pattern, the final broadcast date has not been officially locked in yet.

In terms of performance, Transit Love 4 has been dominating TVING’s metrics. The show has ranked No. 1 for seven consecutive weeks in TVING’s “paid subscription contribution” metric and has also taken the top spot in TV–OTT non-drama buzz rankings as of November 18, 2025.

Within just 10 days of its premiere, the season recorded a paid subscription contribution 530% higher than Season 1, 149% higher than Season 2, and 74% higher than Season 3, signaling explosive growth that surpasses all previous seasons.

The production team is said to have decided on the expanded run in direct response to this surging interest. Online, viewers’ ongoing analysis of the cast’s shifting relationships and reactions to key story developments have continued to trend, helping Transit Love 4 solidify its position as one of TVING’s flagship titles for the latter half of 2025.

With only the remaining episodes left to air, Transit Love 4 is gearing up to close out its story as a 22-episode season.
